Changelog
Every API release since v2.0.0, newest first. Breaking changes are flagged in red — we give at least 90 days' notice on those, usually more. Subscribe to the feed or watch the announcements tag on the community forum.
v2.3.128 January 2026
- Fixed timezone drift in
/geo responses for locations within 30 minutes of midnight UTC. Some city lookups were reported in the previous local day. No schema change.
- Dashboard: usage charts now break down calls per endpoint family, not just per day. We'd been putting this off since 2024 — sorry it took so long.
v2.3.014 November 2025
- Added the
probe_mailbox option to /verify/email. Off by default because it roughly doubles latency on the affected requests — opt in per call, not per key.
- Batch size limit raised from 10,000 to 50,000 records per job.
- New
quality_score banding in bulk verification exports (A–D instead of raw 0–1 floats). The float is still there; the band is additive.
- Ruby SDK promoted to community-maintained with two new co-maintainers. See the SDK page.
v2.2.120 June 2025
- Fixed a bug where webhook retries could fire up to 40 seconds early during deploys. Now respects the published schedule exactly.
- Retired the last of our v1-era internal metrics; dashboard latency graphs load about 300 ms faster. Thrilling, we know.
v2.2.03 June 2025
Breaking change: webhook signatures moved from a single unversioned HMAC to the versioned scheme t=<unix_ts>,v1=<hex>. The old X-TPA-Signature-Legacy header kept working until 1 September 2025 and is now gone. If your verifier still reads the old header, you're silently accepting unsigned payloads — check that first.
- Versioned HMAC signatures with timestamp tolerance you configure per endpoint (default ±5 minutes).
- Added
/geo/me for geolocating the requesting IP without knowing it client-side.
- Go SDK 2.0 with context-aware methods. The 1.x line still compiles but gets no new features.
v2.1.12 October 2024
- Company enrichment: fixed headcount buckets for organisations between 250 and 500 employees (they were all reporting as 250).
- Error bodies now always include
request_id, including on 503s. Previously a handful of upstream timeouts returned an empty body, which made support tickets unnecessarily hard.
v2.1.019 September 2024
- New
/enrich/company endpoint: resolve a domain to a normalized company profile with headcount, funding signals and tech stack.
- Go SDK 1.0 (see SDKs).
- Batch jobs got a
priority field. Pro plans jump the queue; Free plans run at standard priority, which is still under five minutes for 10k records.
v2.0.26 May 2024
- Rate-limit headers (
X-RateLimit-*) are now present on 429 responses too, so you can see what you would have had.
- Dashboard: key rotation no longer invalidates active batch jobs mid-run.
v2.0.118 March 2024
- Fixed cursor pagination on
/verify/email/bulk result sets above 100 pages. Cursors were valid but pointed at the wrong offset — a classic.
v2.0.05 March 2024
Breaking change: v1 endpoints stopped answering on
1 October 2024. The v1 → v2 migration mostly amounts to changing the base URL and renaming
result to
state in verification responses. The migration guide stayed pinned on the forum for a year; it's now folded into the
API reference.
- v2 API generally available: unified auth, unified error codes, one schema across all three products.
- Test and live environments per account, with separate keys.
- Free tier introduced (1,000 calls/month) — v1 had no free tier at all.
Older v1-era releases are archived on the forum. For how the API behaves today, read the reference; for whether it's behaving today, check status.
